Common Voice is a project to help make voice recognition open and accessible to everyone. Contributors record voice clips by reading from a bank of donated sentences.
Voice clips are entered into a submission queue that readies them for listening.
Once 5 clips are completed and submitted, project goal progress is conveyed.

Contributors validate the accuracy of donated clips, checking that the speaker read the sentence correctly.
Recorded voice clips are listened to and validated for accuracy. Along with validating yes or no, clips can be reported to help improve accuracy of the dataset.
How it works
We’re crowdsourcing a public, open source dataset of voices. Donate your voice, validate the accuracy of other people’s clips and make the dataset better for everyone.
Mobile
We’ve designed a multi-language friendly dashboard where contributors can review progress and stay motivated with goals.
Recording voice clips is an integral part of building open dataset; some would say it’s the fun part too.
