RS21 and FuseLab Creative Join POGO Team to Launch COVID-19 Relief Spending Tracker
RS21 and FuseLab Creative have joined the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) in an effort to increase the transparency of government spending in COVID-19 relief efforts. POGO announced the spending tracker and accountability project in April, describing it as a means for oversight practitioners to track how the $2.7 trillion of relief is being distributed.
RS21, a data science and visualization company, and FuseLab, an interface design agency, will support POGO in the production of a public website for the general community, subject matter experts, and analysts. The web application will allow users to easily explore a robust database of relief programs and clearly understand how COVID-19 economic aid is distributed.

In addition to providing access to important and secure data, the website will also feature an intuitive interface. “Our goal here is to provide the public with accurate and usable data visualization options to make it easy to search and filter results and ensure COVID-19 relief spending is as publicly transparent as possible and is reaching its intended beneficiaries,” said Marc Caposino, CEO of FuseLab Creative.
POGO, the organization directing the work, has nearly 40 years of experience conducting government oversight and is committed to ensuring that economic relief is being implemented to support those who need it the most as the country experiences its highest unemployment rates since the Great Depression.
