AI-Powered Smart Home Energy Dashboard

For EnergyAI, we designed a spatial energy management interface that translates complex, real-time energy telemetry into an intuitive visual model of the home.

The experience is centered around an interactive 3D isometric digital twin, where energy production, distribution, consumption, and individual device activity can be understood within their physical context. Rather than relying exclusively on conventional charts and numerical dashboards, we use animated energy flows, contextual data layers, dynamic states, and progressive disclosure to communicate how energy moves through the property in real time.

An integrated AI intelligence layer adds predictive and automated capabilities to the experience. The system can surface consumption patterns, identify unusual behavior, anticipate energy demand, recommend optimizations, and support automated routines – turning the dashboard from a passive monitoring tool into an intelligent decision-support environment.

From a UX perspective, the challenge was to maintain the depth expected from an energy management platform without exposing users to unnecessary technical complexity. Information architecture, visual hierarchy, motion, and contextual interactions work together to let users move naturally from a whole-home overview to room-level and device-level insights while maintaining spatial orientation.

The visual system was intentionally designed to feel at home in a residential environment. Soft neutral surfaces, warm energy accents, controlled glow states, restrained data visualization, and subtle motion create an interface that feels sophisticated and intelligent without becoming overly technical.

The result demonstrates how AI, digital twins, real-time data visualization, and thoughtful UX design can work together to make highly complex connected systems understandable at a glance.
